Poetry: “My Bed of Earth”

My Bed of Earth                by: Rose Clifford

Let my body seep into the ground,

And welcome me into the soil.

Allow this body of mine to take home in the dirt,

The purified earth will renew me.

Release my buzzing mind free,

Of this madness ravaging around inside me.

Wholeness will absorb in my pores,

Revitalizing me into a sin-free holy body.

Let me be coded in piling soil,

Allowing erosion to never unearth me,

From the self- made funeral bed,

Where I will lay eternally sleeping.
