Poetry: “Find Me”

Find Me                        by: Rose Clifford

Find me as a dream,

Sinking softly in the moonlight.

Drenched in the bliss of a blue haze.

Find me as rain,

Moistening the clothes on your back,

Itching your skin with my acid.

Find me as a song,

You cannot thwart from your mind,

With verses replaying from the start.

Find me as silk,

Expensive to the touch,

A sight of wealth.

Find me as light,

Unwavering from the sun’s rays,

Burning the fragile skin you wear.

But today, find me as human,

Imperfect in body and mind,

An animal of the world.
